CHINESE EMIGRATION.

25230 RECO Red 9 DECAL

SPECIAL LICENCE FOR THE CONVEYANCE OF FREE CHINESE PASSENGERS.

Whereas (*),

of the (*),

have duly applied for a Special Licence for the conveyance of Chinese Passengers by the said Ship, and have furnished all necessary particulars as to the Destination of the said Ship and as to all other matters: Now, I,

Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Officer Administering the Government of the Colony of Hongkong, do hereby, by virtue of the authority conferred upon me by the aforesaid Ordinance, license the said Ship to carry any number of Chinese Passengers not exceeding

between Hongkong, Ports in China, and

upon condition that only free passengers under no contract of service whatever shall be carried in the said Ship.

This Special Licence is not transferable, and shall be available only for a period not exceeding Twelve months from the date hereof.

This Licence is granted upon the condition that, I, the Officer Administering the Government aforesaid, may in my discretion cancel or revoke the same at any time before the said Ship clears out and proceeds to sea.
